What to do when you finish at Frensham is something that will become a major part of your thinking as you move through the Sixth Form. There will not be many of you for whom a clear career path has yet evolved. During your time here your tutor and indeed all your teachers will help you make choices for the next stage of your education. We use the Independent Schools Careers Service Course-finder Questionnaire in the spring term of Year 12 as a starting point for discussions. There is also a Higher Education Seminar at the start of the summer term to which we invite a University Admissions Tutor to help guide you and your parents through the maze of UCAS applications. The whole application process is carefully monitored by the personal tutors with sessions planned into the timetable in the busy autumn term of Year 13.

When choosing A level subjects it is worth remembering that many careers and professions have particular subject requirements, while others require graduate status for entry without requiring a specific subject. The most important thing at this stage is that whatever A levels you chose you should be committed to the decision as only in this way will you have the motivation to excel at this grade.
