How our boarding is arranged |

First there is Roberts House. That’s for the sixth form. Day pupils share a study with one other. Boarders all have their own study bedroom. Four members of staff live in. There is one wing for girls and one for boys. You have free access to each other’s rooms during the day but it is strictly forbidden to go in to the rooms of the opposite sex at night-time.
The younger girls live in what we call “West Wing” in Main House. It’s not a wing at all. It’s the front of the old main house and has unrivalled views across miles of national trust land. (nb: at the moment they are living in East Wing as our rolling programme of developing boarding continues)
The younger boys live down in Hamilton House (known universally as HH).
Roberts House is new (opened October 2006). Part of Main House has been extensively re-furbished and the work on HH finishes this summer with the younger boys moving back there in September. The rest of Main House will follow. It’s a mark of our believe in boarding that we are investing several million pounds in this rolling programme.
