Over a third of our academic staff live on site and that includes both the Headmaster and the Deputy Head (pastoral). The Deputy Head (academic) lives nearby and plays a full part in the 24/7 life of the school.

In addition to these staff there are a number of others (school nurse, caretaker, housekeeper, and some of the catering staff) who live here permanently.

Lots of them have young children (there’s never a shortage of baby-sitting jobs for sixth formers). So there’s a real “family” sense to the place especially at weekends when the staff’s children are careering about.

All house staff live on site either in, or in the case of visiting tutors, close to the houses in which they work.
