We have a School Council with teeth. How effectively they bite is down to the Chair, elected at the end of the second term of Year 12 to serve for a year, and the co-representatives from the sixth form who work with pupils elected from each of the other year groups down to Year 4. If they operate well as a team they will influence the school's attitude on issues varying from the education they receive to the environment in which they work. The Chair attends periodic meetings with both the governors, the headmaster and the senior management team.
