"One of the best small libraries we have seen."
Good Schools Guide
The Library and Research Centre, managed by a qualified Librarian, is open throughout the school day and provides a bright, welcoming environment for study and leisure reading.
A wide range of multi-media learning resources (electronic texts, CD-ROMs, the internet and email) offer pupils opportunities to develop research skills in a dynamic and interactive way. Induction and information skills sessions encourage pupils to become independent learners and make the most of the facilities and resources.
There is a weekly Library Club where pupils can assist in running the Library and discuss their favourite books. Author visits are arranged each year and World Book Day is celebrated with a variety of book events.
The Lower School Library offers younger pupils a rich variety of enticing fiction, audio-books and information resources for all reading levels.
Attractive displays of interesting and challenging books introduce First School children to the joys of reading. There are regular Library and story-telling sessions when children learn how to use books and enjoy reading.
