Photography is one of the subjects that has been on offer since the school was founded in 1925. The large studio, dark room, teaching and display area are well equipped. Once pupils have successfully completed the beginners’ course, they are allowed to have their own key and use the facilities as and when they like.

Each year a group of pupils, some as young as 12, take the subject at GCSE a number then going on to AS level.   For the last two years we have offered A level as well (and will continue to do so).   The results have been very good indeed.   

Some go on to Art College and either use it as a factor in their studies or are doing it as a straight degree.   Over the years many have gone on to be successful professional photographers.
