Phaedrus, Roman poet and freedman. This is taken from the last line of Phaedrus’s poem Lupus ad Canem.

 

Portland stone, carved by Linda Lopes Cardozo, head of David Kindersley’s workshop in Cambridge, and presented to the school in 1996 by Professor Tom Sherwood, MB, MA, FCRP, FRCR, a former pupil then Chairman of Governors and now Vice-President.

This motto was adopted by Paul Roberts, Headmaster of the School from 1928 - 1949.
